Charles Chao: President and Chief Executive Officer

新浪一号人物：曹国伟，总裁、首席执行官

Mr. Charles Chao was appointed Chief Executive Officer of SINA Corporation in May 2006. Prior to that, Mr. Chao was the Company\'s President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Chao joined SINA as Vice President of Finance in September 1999 and has also served as the Company\'s Co-Chief Operating Officer at one time, in charge of website operation, marketing and online advertisement sales. Mr. Chao has played a vital role in building SINA into an Internet media and online advertising giant in China. He is largely responsible in the success of the Company\'s past mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to joining SINA, Mr. Chao served as an experienced audit manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, a Big Four accounting firm, providing auditing and business consulting services for high tech companies in Silicon Valley, California. Prior to that, Mr. Chao was a news correspondent at Shanghai Media Group.

Mr. Chao received his Master of Professional Accounting from University of Texas at Austin. He also holds an MA degree in Journalism from University of Oklahoma and a BA degree in Journalism from Fudan University in Shanghai, China. Mr. Chao is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Herman Yu: Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Yu joined SINA in September 2004 as Vice President & Corporate Controller and has acted in his current capacity since May 2006. As CFO, Mr. Yu is responsible for the Company\'s Finance & Administration, Investor Relations, Information Services and International Operations. Prior to joining SINA, Mr. Yu held finance management positions at Adobe Systems, Cadence Design Systems and VeriFone. Mr. Yu began his career with Arthur Andersen and is a California Certified Public Accountant.

Mr. Yu graduated from the University of Southern California with a Masters of Accountancy degree (Dean\'s List) and from the University of California with a bachelor\'s degree in Economics with Honors. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Financial Executive Institute (FEI).

Hong Du: Chief Operating Officer

Hong Du was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in February 2008. Ms. Du joined SINA in November 1999 and has performed various roles in different functions such as the Director of Business Development, General Manger of 1Pai.com, a joint venture between SINA and Yahoo, General Manger of Sales, Vice President of Sales and most recently as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Ms. Du has made important contributions to growing SINA’s online advertising business and in building the Company’s brand as the leading Internet media in China.

Ms. Du received her bachelor\'s degree in 1992 from the Harbin Institute of Technology and obtained her master\'s degree in the United States in 1998.

Tong Chen: Executive Vice President and Chief Editor

Mr. Chen was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Editor of SINA in February, 2007.

Mr. Chen took part in the early construction of SRSNET.com in 1997 and formally joined the Company in 1998. Mr. Chen held positions as host of SRSNET Sports Salon, Chief Editor of SINA News Center, Content Director and Executive Vice General Manager of SINA China. He was instrumental in directing the coverage of the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France, the Kosovo War, China\'s Entry into the WTO, the Sept 11 Terrorist Attack in the US, the Olympics events in Sydney and in Athens, and the 2002 FIFA World Cup. Mr. Chen is a recognized expert in the field of Internet new media and the author of The Way of SINA.Com.

Mr. Chen received a MBA from the China-Europe International Business School. He also holds double master\'s degrees: one in Journalism from China People University and another one in Communications from Beijing Institute of Technology. Mr. Chen obtained a bachelor\'s degree in electronic engineering from Beijing University of Technology.

Bin Wang: Vice President and General Manager, SINA Mobile

新浪五号人物：王滨，副总裁兼总经理

Bin Wang joined SINA in March 2004 as Deputy General Manager of SINA Mobile and was promoted to the position of Senior Vice President of the Company and General Manager of SINA Mobile in November 2005. In 2001, Bin Wang founded the Crillion Corp, serving as its Chairman of the board and General Manager. During which time, he succeeded in developing a set of effective media-based marketing strategy for Crillion. Mr. Wang has accumulated a wealth of experience in the area of marketing and telecommunication VAS.

Mr. Wang graduated from the Sichuan Police Academy in 1987.

从以上排名可略见：作为在新浪网服务时间最长，业绩最突出和名气最大的高管，陈彤在今天2月杜红被任命为首席运营官之后已经退居新浪第四号人物，而后者无论是业界资质还是名气以及业绩上，都不能与陈彤相比，如果面对这样的安排陈彤仍能无动于衷，那么陈彤也不会是陈彤。

所谓的达人才子，或者英雄好汉，当然是个个身怀绝技的，但越是这样的人，也许就更不惧威权、更雄心勃勃，他们的建设力越大，破坏也也越大，这是相辅相承统一在一起的。

如果提升杜红是曹国伟一人之力，他显然是忽视了这一点。

当然，这次提升并不直接造成这次岌岌可危的人事地震，但现在不爆发早晚也要爆发的。

但愿新浪早早度过危机，用《智取威虎山》的一句话：陈彤不能走！
